I am absolutely horrified. I used to love ordering from Nordic Catch and order in big batches. I pulled a Smoked Salmon from the freezer to make for Mothers Day brunch, and OMG - THERE WAS BIRD FEATHERS STUCK ON THE BACK OF THE SALMON!!! Never have I seen this in my life. This is how infectious diseases spread. Clearly their processing plant safety protocols were not met the day they packaged this smoked salmon. Gagging. Ruined my brunch recipe plans. Wow. Never ordering from this place ever again!

What a wonderful experience in every aspect! Customer service is SUPERIOR! The products are top notch! I am from the New Orleans area and very familiar with fresh food seafood and I also worked in a fancy French restaurant in the French Quarter and know my cold water seafood very well, too! The Chilean uni is excellent, fresh, buttery, and has a little brine going on in the flavor, too! They are little gold tinges sent from heaven! Next order will be to try a tray of Santa Barbara uni! The $100 surprise box is off the chain!!! Steak, Atlantic salmon, New Zealand sushi grade King Salmon. Cod, Bronzini filets, cool stainless steel chopsticks in a nice carry case and perfect for my lunch box, nori sheets and ponzu sauce were in my surprise box. I felt like a child at Christmas going through this box! This order arrived in 24 hours of payment and was expertly packaged. Any questions concerning shipping at checkout, just contact Nordic Catch. I have ordered from NorCat about 5 or 6 times now. I can't even begin to tell you how good the Wagyu steaks are. So tender and buttery. Almost melts in your mouth. Yes, they are pricey but if you can splurge once and while on a steak or 2 or 3, it is well worth it. If your order does not arrive in tip top shape and freshness (the snow storm backed my order up during delivery by days), they will make it right with no issues at all. Once you order, it takes about 2-3 days for processing of the order and to receive it (total, including shipping) but they will accommodate the very next day if you ask. I recommend purchasing their insurance for $10 with your order. Customer service is awesome and friendly. I don't post many 5 star reviews but they deserve it! Trust me, this is quality and goodness at its finest. I always look forward to my orders. They are also a small business and I love supporting small businesses.

I lived in Hawaii, Seattle, Thousand Oaks, CA, Scottsdale, AZ and now, unfortunately, Texas, the sushi-black-hole of the Universe. Finding Nordiccatch has been the answer to all of my sushi prayers. I have ordered a few times now and the sushi grade fish and the uni is simply outstanding. And the customer service from Tavia, is the best there is.
